Since, most of the foreign advertisers post ads in mobile phone category, I have decided to split the mobile phone category into two: local (Malaysian) sellers and foreign (non-Malaysian) sellers. It is difficult to determine the authenticity of the foreign sellers, so please exercise caution when dealing with them.
Although there are no guidelines on how or what you should put in the ad title, but I would high recommend that you put as much particulars in it, yet remain short and simple. This will make the intended users to be more likely to go to your ad.
Example of ad title that is not recommended:
- Damansara Heights
- Great buy!
- Finding for room-mate
Although some might make out what it means, but it lacks detail. It would be better if you could make it as below:
- Double Storey House in Damansara Heights for Sale
- Great Buy on various Handphone!
- Finding for room-mate in Taman Maluri, Cheras
The ad title is the first thing the user will see, whether from this site or from the search engine. So it helps if you make it short, simple yet concise.
We have been facing some server issues on the weekend of 6-7 September 2008. The server seem to be overloaded by some other processes. On the 6th, the hosting company says that they are doing some kind of restoration and backup. On the 7th, it seems that some search engine crawler was overloading the server.
We noticed from our logs that some users may have experienced problems while adding a listing. We apologise for the inconvenienced cause and please try again.
FYI, this website is hosted on a semi-dedicated server which is able to cater for high number of traffic.
I have been having issues with Yahoo! Mail recently. I think it is related to their Spam system that they have in place. During my testing earlier on, and a feedback by someone I know, the e-mail sent out just after the registration process, where the user needs to click a link in it to confirm the registration, takes up to a few hours to arrive to the mailbox, and quite likely will be inside the Spam folder
Out of all the registered users waiting to be confirmed, about 70% of them are Yahoo! Mail users. I need to find a way to make sure the e-mail gets into the Inbox, and not into the Spam folder.
One of the solution that I am thinking is for the user to insert a 2nd e-mail during registration, where the e-mail will also be sent to the 2nd e-mail in order for them to confirm the registration.
For those who manage to find the e-mail inside the Spam folder, please click on “Not Spam” to send it into the inbox and further e-mails sent from EZ.com.my will most likely not be sent into the Spam folder again.
